Poland’s capacity market auction for power generation in 2024 took place last week, but the results were released on Wednesday. The total capacity auctioned was 8.6 GW, a lower figure than in recent years. However, the closing price was the highest of the four auctions that have taken place since the Polish capacity market kicked off in 2018, at PLN 259/KW/y ($64.70/KW/y).
