LNG import growth is slowing – or even contracting – in the five major Asia Pacific importers of the fuel.

LNG import volumes were down by 0.98% on an annual basis in Japan, China, India, South Korea and Taiwan over the first nine months of this year compared with growth of 13.9% over the same period last year. These countries accounted for 92% of Asian LNG imports in 2018.
