China’s LNG imports increased by 17.1% on an annual basis in September, to 5.1 mt. They fell by 1.1% on a monthly basis, but this was in line with seasonal norms. The country’s LNG imports are strong, but growth rates have slowed significantly this year. Additionally, the startup of the Power of Siberia pipeline from Russia in December is expected to reduce China’s LNG demand. Gas through the new connection will be supplied...
