The key issue: A major new gas discovery has revived Iranian spirits following a series of disappointments over foreign withdrawal from its South Pars multi-phase gas development.

Interfax analysis: Discoveries such as Eram – a 538 billion cubic metre gas field in the southern Fars province announced this week – will help Iran to continue building up its production potential and ensure it can sustain exports to regional buyers.
