The key issue: Naftogaz Ukrainy’s executive director has said that Ukraine is hoping to resume Turkmen gas imports, which are currently blocked by Gazprom.

Interfax analysis: Existing Gazprom-owned infrastructure could offer a chance to bring Caspian gas to Ukraine, but several hurdles remain.

Naftogaz Ukrainy Executive Director Yuriy Vitrenko said on Facebook on 3 October that Gazprom should allow gas exported from Turkmenistan to reach the Ukraine-Russia border.
