The key issue: Egypt’s swelling domestic gas supply is adding to other concerns about the viability of pipeline gas exports from Israel.

Interfax analysis: The tumult of Israel’s inconclusive general election on 17 September has diverted attention from the challenges confronting the country’s most important gas export scheme. New security and commercial issues are resurfacing that could affect Israeli gas sales to Egypt, which were due to start up in 2019.
