The key issue: Commercial and geopolitical challenges may derail the ExxonMobil-led Blue Whale project, Vietnam’s largest-ever gas development.

Interfax analysis: ExxonMobil is reportedly planning to leave the Blue Whale project off Vietnam, a move that would be bullish for proposed LNG import schemes in the country.
