Storage levels

Ukraine’s storage levels have been increasing steadily in recent months and are up by around 25% from the same time last year as a result of fears of disruption to Russian gas supplies this winter. Ukraine no longer buys Russian gas directly, but around 40% of the gas piped from Russia to European customers transits the country. The current transit agreement expires on 31 December and a new deal has not yet been reached.
