Taiwan’s LNG imports fell by 10% year on year in April as the country’s high inventories left it with relatively little need to buy additional cargoes. It is the third month in a row that Taiwan’s imports have been down on an annual basis; the country imported 4% less LNG over the first four months of 2019 than it did during the same period in 2018. This followed record imports in January that topped up the country’s gas storage.
