Mexico will tender in September for the construction of gas storage infrastructure in depleted fields that offer around 33.7 billion cubic metres of potential storage space. The country, which is reliant on imports via pipeline from the United States, is seeking to bolster its energy security after threats from US President Donald Trump to tear up the North American Free Trade Agreement.
