Gazprom will find it hard to avoid TPA rules for Turkish Stream 2 – Borchardt

The Russian company will have to apply for a specific route before the European Commission will consider exemption from TPA rules.

Gazprom will find it difficult to satisfy the criteria needed to obtain an exemption from the EU’s third-party access (TPA) rules on routes to connect the Turkish Stream 2 pipeline to the European market, Klaus-Dieter Borchardt, the European Commission’s director general for energy, said on the sidelines of the Flame conference in Amsterdam on Thursday.
