Ghana’s LNG supply deal with Gazprom has confused stakeholders in the country’s proposed FSRU projects, with sources mixed on whether it would supply or replace current projects. Ghana has two competing FSRU projects – one by Quantum Power, which is waiting on final government approval – and another by Golar LNG – which is at a standstill because Tema port does not have the infrastructure to receive the vessel or the gas.
