Delays to two pipeline projects in Ghana could prevent the developers of the offshore Sankofa field from selling their gas to alternative buyers in the event that power projects – the intended customers – are unable to meet their obligations. 

A change in the Ghanaian government earlier this year has delayed work on the pipelines amid a standstill in the review process for some of Sankofa’s offtakers.
