Gazprom is continuing to push its Baltic LNG concept, a scheme analysts claim would be a costly way to supply the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad or to add a new route into the European LNG market.

"Baltic LNG [would have] two, and maybe three and four lines," Alexander Medvedev, Gazprom’s deputy chief executive, said at a press conference on Tuesday. He added that the first two lines could come onstream in 2021 under current proposals, even though they have been delayed.
