Algeria’s gas sector is still in difficulty despite proposed changes to the country’s hydrocarbon law.

Anti-government protests in Algeria are ongoing, and the government’s intention to change the hydrocarbon law has not helped. Protesters see the move as selling Algeria’s crown jewels to IOCs.
