The spot LNG market in Northeast Asia will tighten this winter, but not dramatically. Seasonal demand rises are likely to be moderate and will be outpaced by increases in supply availability. Spot LNG prices averaged around $4.5/MMBtu in July and are forecast to average $6.3/MMBtu in Q4.
The NBP month-ahead was around 32-34 p/th in mid-August after making steady gains from the end of July. Further rises over the coming months are likely but pressure from imports and high stocks will limit price gains this...
