The MEA region’s LNG demand will fall sharply this year and next, driven partly by rising gas production.

LNG imports by the six buyers in the MEA region – Israel, Kuwait, the UAE, Turkey, Egypt and Jordan – amounted to 13.7 mt in the first nine months of 2018, which was a fall of 23.5% on an annual basis.
