Rising domestic gas demand will keep the pressure on LNG exports from several MEA suppliers during the summer.

MEA countries exported approximately 11 mt of LNG in total in June 2017. This was around the same level as in June 2016, but a decline of 3.3% from May 2017. Lower LNG exports from Algeria, Egypt, Oman and Nigeria contributed to the fall.
