Growing gas demand in the GCC will support overall consumption of the fuel in the MEA.

The six GCC countries – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE – are collectively the biggest gas consumer in the MEA. GGA estimates their combined gas demand rose by 4.4% year on year in 2016, to 280 billion cubic metres. The figure is forecast to rise by 3.2% on an annual basis in 2017.
