Market developments
- LNG prices in Northeast Asia are rising and were up to around $8-8.5/MMBtu by mid-October. Strong levels of buying at the start of the winter season have helped push up prices.
- Supply-side support for prices had boosted the NBP month-ahead to around 50 p/th as of mid-October. Temperatures in much of Europe have been largely around average in recent weeks, but supply tightness has helped raise prices in the UK and on the continent.
