Spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia have come under further pressure and had fallen to around $5-5.5/MMBtu by mid-April. Although more declines are probable during the spring, seasonal support for prices is likely this summer.
The NBP month-ahead was around 38-39 p/th by mid-April and will decline further over the summer months. Europe’s weakening gas demand will put pressure on NBP prices and those of other hubs in the region.
