A new cap on output from the Groningen field will drag down Dutch output for the 2018/2019 gas year.

The Dutch government has announced a provisional cap of 19.4 bcm for output from Groningen for the 2018-2019 gas year, which starts in October. The new cap is 10% lower than the current gas year’s limit of 21.6 bcm, a level that Groningen nevertheless looks unlikely to reach, with output on course to be 20 bcm.
