European storage levels are up year on year overall – with weak withdrawals seen at the start of 2018.

Europe had around 630 TWh of gas in storage by the middle of January 2018, up by around 7% from January 2017 but down compared with the volume in stock at the same time in 2016. The pace of withdrawals over the start of January has been slower than in the last two years.
