Increases in LNG imports in Northeast Asia will be driven largely by China at the start of 2019, but growth is expected to slow compared with 2018.

Chinese LNG imports are estimated to have risen to around 55 mt in 2018, an increase of 43% compared with 2017. The country’s LNG imports increased by around 48% on an annual basis in November, to 5.9 mt – a new high for monthly volumes.
