Storage requirements have helped boost gas imports in Northeast Asia.

Japan had around 4.7 bcm of gas in storage at the start of July, leaving stock levels approximately 2% lower than they were at the same time last year. Requirements for gas to help build stocks have boosted imports in advance of the winter. However, further requirements for additional LNG imports to build stocks is anticipated to be relatively limited as the start of the winter is forecast to be relatively mild, according to initial outlooks....
