Low levels of gas in storage in South Korea will support increased gas demand for restocking.

South Korea’s gas storage volumes were down to around 2.2 billion cubic metres by the start of January. This was roughly 40%, or 1.5 bcm, below the three-year average. Additional volumes of spot LNG have been sought to help meet demand and storage requirements. Further requirements for storage gas could support additional buying over the coming months.
