The United States Department of Energy (DOE) has postponed the completion of an independent third-party evaluation of the economic impacts of proposed LNG exports from late-summer to the end of the year. The analysis is still in progress and, when complete, the report will be posted for public comment. Only when that process is complete will the DOE make determinations as to whether proposed export facilities are in the public interest, which will be required for export approval to countries with which the US does not have a free trade agreement.
