US assets ‘attractive’ as prices rebound from rock-bottom

 

Two state-controlled companies have expressed an interest in United States gas production assets this week, with analysts agreeing that the market looks especially favourable given that historically low gas prices are poised to rebound, and that debt-ridden Chesapeake Energy may be forced into “bargain basement” sales.
