Alaska makes major strides towards North Slope gas development

 

The state of Alaska and Point Thomson leaseholders ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, BP, and Chevron have reached a settlement that brings development of the 226.53 billion cubic metre Point Thomson field one step closer. This, along with the commitment of producers to jointly evaluate export options, marks a major milestone in getting North Slope gas to market.
