Peru seeks to soft-pedal royalty spat

 

The Peruvian government has clashed with the consortium that operates the country’s Camisea gas field. Authorities have threatened to revoke the contract for Block 56, claiming the consortium has not paid royalties for exports from the flagship block over the past year.
