Explosion hits Velsen gas-fired power station as Dutch hit polls

 

An explosion at a Vattenfall-owned gas-fired power plant in the Netherlands injured eight workers on Wednesday, as the country went to the polls to elect incumbent Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy as the key power broker.
