Earnings drop as PGNiG feels the import price pinch

 

Polish state gas monopoly PGNiG reported a surprise loss of PLN 314 million ($97 million) for the second quarter of 2012 on Thursday, blaming the deficit on the cost of its gas imports and the regulated domestic tariff system.
