India may let gas-fired generators raise tariffs

 

With the worsening gas shortage stifling the development of new gas-fired power plants, India’s Ministry of Power is considering allowing for more flexibility between the cost of generating the electricity and the price generators can charge for the output, Power Secretary P Uma Shankar has told Interfax
