Cyprus may have had to rethink its LNG export strategy following disappointing drilling results at the Aphrodite gas field, but “there is no need to panic after one result”, Cypriot Energy Minister Yiorgos Lakkotrypis said in an interview with Interfax.

“The possibility of finding more gas within our exclusive economic zone [EEZ] is really high, so one can assume it’s not a matter of finding more gas, it’s a matter of timing,” Lakkotrypis added.
