Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovych will attempt to secure Chinese support for four coal-to-gas (CTG) projects during his visit to Beijing in early December, he said during an interview on Wednesday.

China and Ukraine have already agreed to cooperate on CTG projects, with the state-owned China Development Bank Corp. extending Ukraine a $3.7 billion credit facility for the replacement of gas with coal in the country’s energy mix.
