Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s landslide victory in Bangladesh’s general election over the weekend provides political certainty for investors in the country’s gas sector and continued support for its LNG import projects.

The Grand Alliance coalition, which is led by Hasina’s Awami League (AL) party, secured a third term in office after it won 288 parliamentary seats of the 300 contested.
