China’s LNG demand was boosted by vehicle and household use in 2018, helped by the launch of more LNG storage facilities and the fuel’s price advantage over oil products.

China consumed around 23 mt of LNG in 2018, up by 13.7% from the 20.23 mt it consumed in 2017, according to SCI International.
