Polish state-owned company PGNiG said in a note on Wednesday it has signed a 20-year supply contract with United States-based company Port Arthur LNG, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy.

Under the deal, PGNiG will buy 2 mtpa, which equals to about 2.7 bcm after regasification. Supplies will start in 2023 from the Port Arthur LNG plant, which will be built in Jefferson County, Texas.

Purchases will be under a free-on-board basis, with PGNiG responsible for shipping the cargoes from Port Arthur.
