Weiyuan block shale gas output up 60%

Chuanqing Drilling Engineering’s daily shale gas output at the Weiyuan Block in southwest China reached 5.1 million cubic metres on 2 December, up by 60% year on year, parent company China National Petroleum Corp. said on Wednesday.

Chuanqing has drilled three wells that have each test-flowed rates of more than 500,000 cubic metres per day.
