The step-back rights have been triggered in contracts for capacity booked at the Romania-Hungary interconnector, Hungarian transmission system operator FGSZ has announced.

The capacity was booked in December 2017 and bidders had until 14 December to exercise their step-back right. FGSZ said a new economic test will be performed and the results will be published on 28 January.

The Romania-Hungary interconnector forms part of the project officially known as the Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary-Austria pipeline.
