Sinopec makes second connection to China-Myanmar pipeline

Sinopec has started supplying regasified LNG through a second pipeline connection to PetroChina’s China-Myanmar gas pipeline.

Sinopec started supplying regasified LNG through a second pipeline connection to PetroChina’s China-Myanmar gas pipeline on 9 December, Sinopec on Tuesday.

The pipeline links Sinopec’s LNG terminal in Beihai to the city of Laibin, which is transited by the China-Myanmar pipeline.

It is the second pipeline linking the terminal to the China-Myanmar pipeline, after the Beihai-Qinzhou connection that launched in mid-September.

Sinopec is feeding 11.5 million cubic metres (MMcm) per day to the China-Myanmar pipeline, and has supplied 540 MMcm to date.
