China and Japan plan to discuss resuming long-stalled talks on the joint development of a disputed gas field in the East China Sea, the Nikkei Asian Review reported on Tuesday.

The agreement to restart the talks – which began 10 years ago – was made at the 10th round of the China-Japan High-level Consultation on Maritime Affairs, which took place in Wuzhen in eastern China this week.
