Ivory Coast’s energy minister, Thierry Tanoh, has been fired from his position after four years in the role, according to a report by Afriquinfos.

The minister had come been criticised for failing to develop oil and gas projects in the country despite rising demand for hydrocarbons.

The projects concerned include Total’s $100 million Vridi LNG terminal, which had been due to come online in the middle of this year but for which FID has been delayed until 2020, and an offshore...
