Gazprom is optimistic about its ability to bring both Nord Stream 2 and Turkish Stream – its new routes for supplying gas to Europe – online in January 2020, following the expiration of transit contracts with Ukraine in December 2019. But even if the two projects are completed on time, their extensions into Europe will not be ready until at least January 2021.
