Bangladesh will start seeking bids from companies for the construction of a second nuclear power plant next year, according to The Daily Star.

The government aims to use nuclear, renewables and gas to satisfy Bangladesh’s 10% annual growth in energy demand without causing significant pollution. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sees nuclear power as necessary to expand and diversify her country’s energy mix.
