Greece is interested in joining Gazprom’s Turkish Stream gas pipeline project and in transporting Russian gas to southern Europe, a Kremlin aide has said.

Greece is interested in joining Gazprom’s Turkish Stream gas pipeline project and in transporting Russian gas to southern Europe, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said at a news briefing in Moscow before talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

“Greece has expressed interest in joining infrastructural projects for delivering Russian gas to Europe via the southern route. I mean its involvement in the implementation of the [Turkish Stream] gas pipeline project,” Ushakov said.
