Shell has agreed to provide gas directly to the 140 MW Aba integrated gas power plant in Nigeria’s Abia state, Nigeria’s The Guardian has reported.

The deal will see the company supply gas from its Imo River plant through an existing gas pipeline network.

“This is a further demonstration of our commitment to supporting Nigeria’s industrialisation through gas,” said Shell’s Nigeria country director, Osagie Okunbor.
