Equinor and its partner ExxonMobil will hold talks with the government of Tanzania on the development of a gas project in the country’s waters and an associated LNG export plant worth up to $30 billion, Reuters has reported.
Tanzanian President John Magufuli has reportedly asked his ministers to begin talks to set out the commercial and fiscal framework for the venture with no deadline.
Equinor’s Block 2 is adjacent to Shell’s blocks 1 and 4.
