Gas output at the Jianbei Block in western China’s Qinghai province reached the equivalent of 500,000 cubic metres per day on 21 November, China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) said on Tuesday.
The block’s high output marks a breakthrough and will ease supply pressure on the mature Sebei, Dongping and Maxian gas fields, which are in decline.
