The Philippines is ready to sign two agreements with China to jointly explore for oil and gas offshore, Reuters reported Philippine Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi as saying on Wednesday.
One agreement is for the SC57 permit and would cover an exploration project between state-owned Philippine National Oil Co. and China National Offshore Oil Corp. off the Calamian islands, which form part of the Philippines’ southwestern Palawan province.
